Hey, since just about every game store is saying the 360 will be $300, how long do you think it will be until it drops in price? I think ps2 and xbox dropped only a few months after their release. I have more than enough money to buy one, its just that the $400-500 that it will cost to buy the 360, games and accessories could be used to something else.

Anybody remember how long it was til xbox dropped in price. I probably wont buy a 360 until halo 3  comes out which is sometime next summer, and hopefully it will drop at least $50 by then. beerchug.gif  beerchug.gif

And yes i have a job, so all you lazy ass people who dont have jobs, yet tell others to get jobs shutup!!! laugh.gif

10/26/00 - $299.99
05/14/02 - $199.99
05/12/04 - $149.99

Xbox
11/15/01 - $299.99
05/15/02 - $199.99
05/??/03 - $179.99
04/29/04 - $149.99

The only reason MS dropped the price of the original Xbox so early was to keep up with Sony... Sony out of the blue dropped to $199 and MS followed the very next day.

Considering Sony will have the most expensive console next go around, and the fact that they're releasing 2nd.MS's console will still be cheaper when Sony releases. Expect to wait about 1-2 years before a price drop hits.

Lol, well I'll just wait until halo 3 comes out next summer and buy a 360 then. That and ghost recon 3 are really the only games that I'm looking forward to.

iono MS may do that drop to get ride of all the inventory, hell i'd buy an xbox or 2 for 100$  they make insane media centers

I have to admit that the xbox had crappy games at launch and they were slow to come out i hope that the 360 comes out with a lot more games early on. can anyone put the list of xbox games the first year and compare it to the 360 games coming out the first year.. beerchug.gif  have a drink
