OK I'm trying to get XBMC to connect for CDDB Weather etc but no matter what I put in the proxy settings it wont work.

No before you say I'm stupid Ive gotten lots of other xbox programs to connect fine through the proxy UnleashX ,DVD2XBOX, MXM LinksBox and some more so I'm beginning to assume its XBMC.
Even my firewall says its trying to connect straight to my PC and not my Proxy program as all the others do

This is what I have set in the XML

<httpproxy>192.168.0.1</httpproxy>
<httpproxyport>6588</httpproxyport>

I even tried using the computers name as well

<httpproxy>jezz-box</httpproxy>
<httpproxyport>6588</httpproxyport>

neither worked at all

Any and all help appreciated <

Ok well it seems they work well for news feeds as I can display that so maybe I need tell my proxy to listen on some more ports even though isn't that the point of having a proxy port set <

Your proxy isnt by chance working in transparent mode is it (no need to set a port)? <
