i think team x is jus saying its a no solder solution so people dont buy the maxtor vampire and pre order this by the time they figure out that its not solderless it will be too late and they would be successful at taking away business from their only competitor

Which is all the more reason why someone should get Xecuter to be clearer on this.

They have made the front page of Xbox-Scene with this, surely they should be able to confirm one or two things.

If it is truly solderless, I hope more than one retailer has this as it's $13 to ship to the US from the listed website.

ok let me make it clear ..

you have to cut the trace no question about it ...

2nd now about the no soldering " key word is no soldering "

no PCB board .. so what it means that you have to repair your trace How??

to fix that they using the Conductive Glue or trace repair pen .. so there for no soldering

i hope this make it clear ...

on the probe 2 on the 7 series liteon drive you can dump the key like the first probe no trace cutting

but if you want the full dump than you have to do the same cut trace dump

and than repair the trace with solder PCB board or Conductive Glue or trace repair pen ...

YES, you HAVE to cut traces and yes there product will be no solder BECAUE (drum roll) they are including conductive glue, the same crap included with intensafire !!!!

Conductive glue is a BIG mistake used on anything and if intensafire installs I have seen that n00bs have tried using that stuff are anything to go by, I suggest everyone steers clear and uses solder instead.

Oh and btw you can do exactly what the ck3 probe v2 will do when it eventually arrives right now with the original Maximus Vampire

so sorry to burst the bubble but if you are waiting to mod your drive there is no point waiting for the vampire clone (ck3 whatever) just get a vampire and do it now

u will need to cut the traces. this is nothing new. if you want u can make a better probe then this one they offer. does all lite on drives 7xxx , 8xxx , 9xxx why spend $20 on a probe that does only 1 unit. screw it u can build all u need for less then $5

Option 2: CK3 Addon <---- i made this and its simple. and its been out longer. seems they stole the idea from this lol great work.

dont fall in to the hype THIS IS NOT A TRUE NON SOLDER. U will still need to cut traces and then re connect them after.

i don't get why people keep bitchin about this product. there's no competition between this and the vampire from maximus - this works with CK3 and the vampire works with the maximus extractor so people who own a ck3 will get this and people who own an extractor will get the vampire. what's the big deal? it's not like maximus OR xecuter came up with this - it's been floating around german and russian forums for weeks, it's just a more professional, mass produced product. imo whatever makes flashing these drives even a little easier is welcome.
there's always more than one way to skin a cat, so if you wanna diy shut the hell up and do it, but stop complaining when someone brings a new product to the scene - nobody is forcing you to buy it.

There is competition between Maximus camp and xecuter camp. trust me. It's quite fierce too. Whatever way people will decide and that will be that ....it will all blow over in a month or two.

its not a fierce competiton it maximus and team-x , they both have differnt products. honestly people are going to get what they want. Its just a shame that team-x has to stretch the truth about a NO SOLDER solution, yes conductive glue works, is it not the best, well in my opinion, I have sold 100's of intensafire's and all the problems people have are realted to the damn glue, it sucks, plain and simple. Soldering is the way to go, but hey I am just me providing my opinion

I ordered one of those Xecuter switches for testing, about a month later, STILL WAITING! I'm getting ready to open a PayPal dispute before I lose the option. I've already made my own "vampire" or "CK3 Probe V2" following that wonderful German tutorial over a month ago, I was just looking for a lazy way (getting old n shaky) of repairing the traces. (I personally won't use silver ink, for this type of app!) I found my solution with Maximus rebuild boards!

I've been reading nothing but bad things about T-X, and now based on my personal experience they won't be getting a dime from me, ever again. And neither will JF, when the "free" firmwares don't become free until someone else decrypts them for the public!

Off topic- I'm sure a mod will edit/delete it and/or ban me, especially based on how much this site closed/"covered up" all the threads pertaining to the release of LT. But does anyone find it funny that the SAME website that was "unofficially" selling LT firmware before it's official release is now the SAME sight for "official" LT installs on the JF twitter page?!!!!!!

i don't care about soldering, i think i would by the xecuter because i have been supporting them since xbox1 days, and there products are made of very high quility materials and the build is next to none. IMO. anyhow thats my .02
