After the amazing success of our LT Switch solution, we are pleased to launch the latest addition to the CK3 family of products - the FIRST complete NO SOLDER solution for the newer Liteon DVD drives - the CK3 Probe v2. This is targeted to installers who require a multi-use no solder solution to the new Liteon drives - or to the users who simply don't have the skills to solder our cheaper LT switch alternative.

Still retaining the original CK3 Probe function of dumping the 74850 key, but now also enabling full firmware access of the new 83850V2 and 93450 drives - you can easily switch between PROBE and LT Switch Modes - A complete all-in-one solderless solution !

Installers can use this again and again and again and again - No rebuild boards - no soldering - NO PROBLEM !

The CK3 Probe 2 connects to both the CK3 Lite and CK3 Pro connectivity kits and includes full status LED's and an extra protection circuit against accidental shortages on the DVD PCB.

Stock is expected to ship within 2 weeks (Would have been this week as this has been designed and finished for a couple of weeks but it's Chinese New Year). RRP $17.95

Well reading this then that would suggest you don't have to cut tracks because if you cut them then you will have to repair them later, if you have to repair them then the " no soldering" claim just wont hold true. Im gonna order one and see how it goes.

I couldn't find any videos or other instructions online but if you would have to cut traces the you would have to solder it back together, or am I missing something?

I do too.

I have a feeling this will be a sneakily worded reduced soldering device but some soldering will still be needed.

If it is a 100% no cutting, no soldering no other highly technical stuff I will buy one in an instant and ebay my Probe model v1.

Which is why it is worth confirming before buying.

There is only a tiny market for this device, so more fool the buyer if they don't check.

And if it works as it is implied by Xecuter this is a fantastic product.

You can repair the traces with something else, forget what it is, but its not solder.

I have heard of people repairing traces with conductive ink (I think that's what its called.) Basically the same stuff you would use to repair the things on your rear windshield that help melt snow. The stuff comes in a container similar to a pen and you use it just like a pen on the trace you need repaired.
