I have one problem with my new Xbox 360. Over the past week (since getting my system) I have searched the internet for someone with a similar problem, but I have found none. First off I do want to state that this problem has occured since day one, the first time I "tried" to turn on my 360.
Problem: To turn on my 360 I originally held in the middle "x" on my wireless controller. The controller would turn on and the 360 console would go into a sort of standby mode (ie: only the power icon on the console would light up, the ring wouldn't search for a controller or anything it would just sit there. Also, no audio or video would show up on my TV.) What I found out I had to do was use the power button on the console and turn it off. (Which would turn off the controller and the console.) Then I would have to do the exact same thing again (pressing the "x" on the wireless controller) and the system will easily start: audio, video, ect. Searching a bit on the internet on exactly how to turn on the system I found on a site that it said to "hold in the start button on the wireless controller". So, I tried that...but to no aval, I still have to power-down the console and either use the start button or the middle "x" a second time to actually start the system.
UPDATE
Today I finally got around to calling Xbox's tech support phone number. After doing so I am still not any farther along in knowing whats wrong with my 360 than before I called. I told the guy my problem (and after repeating it to him 3 times because for some reason he couldn't understand what I was meaning), he quickly came to the conclusion that I "had too much stuff on my Xbox 360, and to unplug it for an hour and try again". Then I explained to him that my system had been doing this since I bought it (the first time I ever turned it on) and he said once again, "ummm well just unplug it", then he hung up.
Am I seriously the only person on the frickin' planet that has this problem? There has to be somebody out there that knows whats wrong with my Xbox 360....please help....
PS: Xbox Tech Support needs to get better phone operators, hanging up on me is really really childish, all he had to say was he didn't know what was wrong.
