Ts-h943 Only Reading Burned Media?

So I have an ebay special 360 that will not read any type of retail discs at all, no 360 games, no xbox games, no movies. However it will play any burned movie or audio CD that I throw at it, including scratched up discs, and .avi's. Its an unmodded ms25 version. Any ideas?
