OK so i fixed my own 360 ages ago using the X-clamp fix (still works fine to this day) so i say to my mate that i can fix his 360 so he gives me it!
So i open it up take off the heat sinks and think to my self how did i do this last time cuz there was ALOT of confusion with the first one i did so i looked about and seen a method that was using only 2 washers. so i got 2 washers and put the on top and left out the washers on the bottom of the screws (so there was a total of 8 screws on one heat sink) turned it on let it overheat, left it for 30 mins went back everything was great so i played gears on it for a bit just to check everything was working! and it was all good, so i boxed it up and gave it back to him the next day he had it for a week and then the three red light appeared on the 360 again! i thought to myself WTF?!?!1 but what he had told me was that he has the 360 pushed up against a wall and theres no air getting out of it AT ALL so i thought that might be one reason then he said it sounds like the fans are not on so i thought the connector might of come loose when myself or he was handling it, any help ASAP would be fantastic as I'm going to grab that 360 now to take another look at to see what i can do with it.
So if i need more washers or less washers please advise!
