I think it would be funny if they snet back a new one that they smashed, But hell they can send back a new one since xbox 360's pretty much self distruct anyways. But knowing Microsoft they will find a way to sue you for breaceing some kind of xbox 360 TOS by busting the mobo in 1/2,

Lol now ya got me worried, It is way doubtful that they would give me another 360. I don't want in no way to cheat Microsoft, its pretty obvious that didn't happen in shipping haha. I do wish they would replace it for the fact being I never personally voided my warranty in the beginning, it peeled off from heat or something I don't know, but when I sent it in they charged me to ship it back and put a letter in there saying that my 3 year warranty was void grr.gif  So with alot of bandaids I got it working for some time but the dvd drive was just the last straw and I have been a loyal customer ever since the launch of the original Xbox...just seems fair they would replace it for some bogus warranty peeling sticker BS, or at least have been able to tell the system hadn't been tampered with before I actually even opened my console to apply gule, bandaids and ductape lol.

Hahaha all that hassle while you probably just could have replaced the dvd-drive laser ($20) to fix the "tray open" error tongue.gif

What is the status of the box? Has it reached microsoft yet?

(O ya, and microsoft's penis is micro and always soft, maybe that is why they suck so much.)

If you sent in the box w/o breaking it you would have gotten a new elite back...but this is NOT BAD! Microsoft is so stupid.

You should have lied and said that when you shipped it, it was in one piece.

No, I was in no way trying to fraud or cheat Microsoft...hell I didn't even think they would replace it. I was completely honest and didn't deny smashing it into a thousand pieces or voiding my warranty. But im sure one xbox isnt going to hurt Microsoft's pocketbook.

This is the best story I've ever read on X-S. Next time I call M$ support, for LIVE problems or whatever, I'm going to curse at them a lot and see if they offer me a new 360 laugh.gif .

You know this kinda pisses me off.I'm glad you got your's replaced in all but I have been fighting with them for 2 weeks now cause l sent in my kids console, they sent it back to me unfixed said it was tampered with which it was'nt.They said that the sticker was tampered with so I look at it, and It did look like the corner was tampered with but you can tell it wasn't all pulled back,So I explain to them that anything could of snagged the corner of that sticker like maybe putting a diff face plate on anything,But there answer to me is something read off a screen,I ask them for a superviser they tell me that there superviser cant help me with the service deparptment desision,So now it's on its way to 360 pros to get fixed, now after I read this I see that I clearly made the wroung desision.Next time if it ever happens with my console I will send it in a box in a million parts and a dead fish. And I will see if I get results then.
Just wanted to add this is the first time I've had problems getting a xbox fixed.

Exactly why I called them one time and when I started to have to fight them I just made a decision that this was going no where. Customer support is BS. Besides the warranty sticker isn't what they should be going off of 100%, since some of the older model stickers started to peel off from heat, I got one 360 brand new out of the box that the warranty sticker was almost completely peeled off. And to be honest I didn't care if they would fix it or not I don't mind buying a new one. I wish they made them like the old Nintendo, cause hell I had one when I was a kid and went back to my moms house when I was 20 to pick up some of my stuff and found my Nintendo stiiting under the deck, for years in the rain, snow ect. I cleaned it up, plugged it in and still play it. I know the new systems are more complicated but if Microsoft had spent a little more time then they wouldn't have 43% of their consoles in production come back.

Niiiice lol thats pretty good. At least MS are willing to compromise with you and they will give you another console.

Just shows in the right situation, bitching and being difficult can get you what you want  laugh.gif

You are quality dude! That's way too funny what you did and your getting a Core system in return. And yes, I strongly agree with you that some people save up for a long time hoping one day they will own a 360 and stupid things like that happen and your on the phone to some Indian guy with music/TV/talking coming from the back!

When it comes to the 3 red lights of death I think m$ should cover every console, even if the warranty seal is broken.. hell, even if it's been modded.. We all know it wasn't the mod that caused the 3 red lights and we all know that opening it does not cause the 3 red lights. Yes there will be those few cases where a dumbass opens their xbox and makes the xbox 3rrod, but those are few.

The fact is, MOST xboxes that 3RROD are because of a manufacture defect, not because of somebody opening up their xbox... Before somebody decides to get preechy with me and tells me "well microsoft's warranty clearly says if you open your system then your warranty is void." Yes.. I fully understand that but I still think m$ should cover these people because it's clearly a manufacture defect.  Too bad it's not like a car... the dealership has to prove whatever you've done to the car directly affected whatever went wrong with whatever they're trying to replace. For example.. will flashing your xbox cause the 3 red rings? Nope.

I guess if you want to mod you have to void.. M$'s console, M$'s terms.
