hey all, I have a v79 with the Passkey installed

it was not in ModeB by default when turning the xbox on, so I used the SLAX CD to get it there, no problem.

It booted into windows, again, no problem, and was viewable under device manager, and ejectable and all that.  I discovered however, that when trying to put in a xbox 360 dvd or a dvd movie, it wouldn't read.  it keeps trying to spin up, but stoping.  it read the disk in the xbox before putting it into modeB, then I drove it home (with a seat belt on) and now no dice.

Any advice?  I need it to get past this part so the drive can be dealt with.

ANy sugguestions on where to start looking?  the connections all appear to be soldered in place as they should be.
