Does anyone know when these kits will be available and where they can be purchased?  I'm also interested in trying one out, since I now have the red ring of death and the towel trick no longer works.

The towel trick never works in the first place, it just kills your system a little bit at a time.

OK guys - this is what I have found out and tried (and it worked on 2 RROD consoles so far).
Remove the case and DVD drive and place a thin 3 inch x 3 inch rubber mat (I used somed ferrite loaded silicone mat) which is approximately 0.080 inch thick.  Place this on top of the heat sink and place the DVD drive back and screw together.
Once the case is screwed together the extra force from the mat on the GPU is enough to make permanent contact and improve the heat dispursement.
That is it.
I have now run 2 consoles without any probs now for 12 hours without any RROD, which were continuously freezing and RROD.
Try it - it is cheap and I think this is what this 'fix' is.

Forgot to mention that these were first gen 360 consoles with a MS25 and MS28 drive (should anyone ask).

And where would we find this (ferrite loaded silicone mat) to purchase? i checked google just came up with a bunch of garbage.

So... has anyone bought this yet?

Pretty arrogant post I might add....

"1. This is not any kind of X-Clamp or washers or screws or thermal paste or anything like that. It's not rocket science and didn't take months of development - more like 10 minutes"

I would bet that they read post here and at other sites for the last year and then decided to make some dolla dolla bills!!!!

Funny that they have this facade of "pirate" - "robin-hood" - not making money stuff. Last time I checked they sold mod chips, not give them away!

Arrogant post, indeed. Team Executer isn't working out of their home like 99% of us who do any modding do. They've got a full lab at their disposal, as well as general electronics experience. As easy as the RRoD appears, and one method (RBJTech's) is quite easy to do to fix it, is it so hard to believe that another fix doesn't exist?

Mod chips would cost money to give away (either way, someone's gotta pay for production), but there have been plenty of open source mods, that allow people to build their own PCB and flash a 'firmware', such as the Wii60 project.

Don't you mean 10 other fixes exist???

They all address the same problem. Some easy, some cheap, some free, some just cost of parts.

I would also say that there are more than just a couple of people here that have electronics backgrounds... I have a college degree in electronics and have been repairing video game console since 1989.

Why does exicuter get free advertising for their fix that they have developed by using the posts here???

And... then they insult us, and then want 10.00 for rubber mats!!!

Show your fix like others here have !!!!!!  Save the paid advertising sleaze for T.V.

Oh ya.... video games software costs money to give away also... so go defend O.J. or someone with that not guilty stuff...

Hi Guys, did anyone see the picture on their webbsite? They have a photo out. Looks strange. More like a chip than Xclamps. Did anyone actually buy this stuff yet?

They're just being secretive to drum up some instant business. How many people will buy this blind just to see what it is? I bet alot.

It's kinda pissing me off now too but I won't give in to this pathetic marketing plea.

nearly 5 yrs of fun smile.gif

They look like they are some kind of heat transfering material, end of the day they were £1.70 for 4
will see if they work. Ill dig up an old 360 that has had everything thrown at it and never worked.

Expected something really special and ingenious from team X lol
