When I turn my xbox on, it goes RROD, then the fans spin faster and faster then the xbox turns off.

Any ideas?

Here's an idea - get your error code. Are you getting 2 lights or 3? What color is the light on your power brick when the power is on/off? We need some real info here.

Hi,

I believe that the fans spin faster as their sensor heats up. So it would appear that even as you see the red lights flashing, the CPU/GOU are heating up rapidly.... Just a thought.

3 Lights, and yes, the cpu is heating up rapidly.

What color light should be on your power brick when on? Mine is yellow.. Should it be green?

Yellow off green on. However, I still don't know what is cauing the fans and cpu to do that.

Try to get your error code as soon as you get the 3 red lights - hodl sync, press eject, and repeate 3 more times. 4 lights = 0, 1 = 1, 2 = 2, 3 = 3, so if it's 4 lights, 4 lights, 4 lights, 2 lights, your error code is 0002.
