Use External Hard Drive As A Memory Card

Well I went to wal-mart today looking for a memory card for xbox 360.I found one!Oh wait...*looks down at price*50 dollars!?That's a crime!Anyways.I was wondering if there was a way to use a external hard drive or usb jump drive as a memory card for the 360.I put mine in but it doesn't show up under the storage devices.All that shows up is my hard drive.Can someone please get me an answer befor the end of this week?I'm going down to my friends place for a week and want to take my profile with me without taking my whole xbox so we can play ranked matches on halo 3 live.

That sucks.And plus that guy at llama mods lied.He said that if we actually make that external drive he said with their super slim case that fits a laptop hard drive he said that is works as a memory card too.What a pity.Well thanks anyways guys.I will do the account recovery thing.Damn you Bill Gates!Peace.
