I don't know why everyone is ripping motion controls.
Why does everyone have to be such a fan boy?
Unless you work for MS and are making billions just realize that certain controls work better for certain games.
Name me one person at Microsoft making "billions"...

The Wii controller is by far hands down better than the 360 controller for first person shooters.
I would refuse to play 1st person shooters on any console because the analog controls are garbage.
The Wiimote makes them as close as possible to a PC.
The Wiimote is nowhere near as accurate as a good optical mouse. To begin with, the controls are floaty, at best when you're playing an on-the-rails title. That's not counting having to move your camera about. You need to move your 'mote's reticle beyond your target to center your screen on it. After doing that, you still need to track back track back and actually aim your crosshair/reticle at whatever it is you're shooting at.
It's time consuming, and inaccurate. A mouse is as simple as pointing and clicking.

The Wiimote does suck for other types of games so I like the option of having different choices.
I like the fact that MS is releasing this accessory.
For someone like me that mostly plays PC's, this is excellent.
People are likening this rumoured attachment to the Nintendo Wii controller, when in truth if a peripheral is ever revealed (God willing, it won't) it will most likely be more akin to the Playstation 3's SIXAXIS/TOUCHSENSE. It wouldn't make sense to attach accelerometers to a controller designed to fit in two hands. At most it would have gyroscopic functionality.
I personally think it's kitschy & unimaginative. Of all the things that Microsoft could be doing to improve their standing in the games industry, motion sensing is not it.
