Ok, here is a weird one, I search and search but nothing came up

I put in a game (any game), it will looks like it is going to boot, but instead no audio and ever a blue screen or a purple screen will be shown. Everything looks like it is frozen, but click on the sync button, those green led respond. Press on Eject the tray comes out but won't go back to the dash board. It require a total power down to go to the dash again.

I try DVD video and it works fine. No right LED anyway, no indication of overheat, DVD drive seems to work, try with and without the HD but no change, so what could this be?

The unit have no warranty, so I can't even get M$ help.

Any suggest will be great..

That's not strange, it's normal behavior (for a troubled system). The DVD-ROM only needs to be receiving power to eject/close, and the RF board only needs power to cause the LEDs to spin around when you press sync, but it won't actually sync with a controller if the system has locked up/crashed.
