So I did the xclamp method about 6 months ago and everything has been working great until last week... when the 3RLOD showed up again...

What should I do now? I heard the penny fix is an option, what does everyone recommend? Should I just redo the silver thermal paste and do the overheat method again (with the fan off) ? Or go straight to the penny trick? Or any other methods?

The penny trick won't hurt, if done correctly: it keeps the memory chips cooler. A lot of times the large amounts of heat on the gpu will cause the thermal paste to degrade, so reapplying there might solve your problem too.

Ya man just try reapplying the thermal paste to to gpu and cpu and see what happens. If that fails then you move on to penny trick.

Btw what error code?
