3 Blinking Red Lights & Yellow Light On Psu
« on: December 22, 2007, 11:07:00 AM »

I recently got the 3 red lights, i searched online and i tried the rubber eraser fix.  But, before I took my 360 apart I used compressed air to clean my psu (while it was still plugged in).  I immediately got a yellow constant light on the PSU.  What does this mean?  Do I need to replace the PSU?

I can't check to see if the eraser trick worked, since I get this yellow light on the PSU...

Any help would be appreciated...

Thanks,

You may have temporarily shorted something out because the compressed air comes out very moist, but the moisture tends to dry quickly, if that makes sense  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) . Try uplugging your psu from the wall outlet for about an hour and then powering it back on again.

As long as the PSU is plugged up it always has an orange/yellow light showing. Red is bad, Green is on, Orange is standby.

It's been about 10 hrs since I screwed up the psu.  Tried it this morning...nope, still orange.  PSU is also orange while plugged into the xbox.  And, still getting the 3ROD.

Right, but the psu stays orange while the xbox is on.  It used to be green, until I used the compressed air..
