Need Help Taking Off Shaved Off Screws From Metal Casing
« on: December 13, 2007, 05:34:00 PM »

Like most of you guys, I had to take take off the screws off my 360 to fix RROD and video issues. MY problem is that one of the small black bolts that using the T-8 tool has become slight shaved. Now I have tried everything to take that one bolt off but since it is shaved where the Torque driver goes, theres no way for me to get a secure lock unscrewit out. Any of you guys ran into this problem before, and what's the best way to do it?

Use a Dremel and cutting disc, make a slot in the head of it so it's like a flathead screw, remove it with a flathead screwdriver. If ya have any drill bits that the flutes are reversed you can use one of them as an extractor (left hand bits, do NOT use a 'typical' right hand drill bit) or get an actual extractor bit that will work.
