V1.6 Powers On When Plugged In?
« on: December 13, 2004, 11:29:00 PM »

UPDATE:  Problem solved.  I figured since the power button and eject buttons didn't work then, somehow, the eject button was being permenantly pushed down.  I think this is the BT wire?, anyway, I knew it wasn't the power/eject button itself, so I followed the traces on the board starting at the 10 pin connector and sure enough I found one of those 10k (103) resistors missing.  I replaced it from another broken mobo I had and BAM! everything is perfect now.

The resistor was missing.  It had been ripped off the board somehow.  I just looked at another board to see what was missing and I replaced it from spare parts.
