Power Button
« on: December 08, 2007, 05:56:00 AM »

Ever since i got my new xbox 360, the power button is really hard to press, it feels like its just stuck and when i push it in hard it doesn't even feel like am pressing a button it just feels like my poking a wall.

Is this how its suppose to be with the power button?

I tried looking all over for info on power button and no luck.

Is there a way i can fix this so i can start up my 360 easily without the feeling of pushing nothing =/?

i have a similar problem, i just use the controller to turn the box on and hope it doesnt freeze on me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif).

i think you can turn it on by putting a screw or something metal across two of the connectors where the switch used to be; if it has snapped off in your case.

Thats what i was thinking, that the inside broke.

Kinda lame cause, when i first got my 360 i didn't know about it , i thought thats how its suppose to be.

It still works and all with the power button but i have to press in hard.

I looked into this matter when my 360 controller ran out of battery and i had to use the power button (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif).

I had that problem once.. I just took the faceplate off and reattached it and that fixed it.

I had the same problem, but it turned out to be something wrong with the faceplate. I just replaced it and it works fine now  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) .

I keep my DVD remote handy as that also switches it on without a problem (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
