0022 Error Code Fixed No Eat Gun No Over Heating
« on: December 04, 2007, 07:30:00 PM »

Hi
well for starters i am not new to fix xbox360 i have many already and i have had many error 0022 that i con't fix but 2 nite i just fixed a error 0022

to start off i had a motherboard about 2 weeks know giving me the error 0022 and i con;t get it fixed and i pin pointed that error code has to dosomething with the CPU and not the GPU

this is what i took a plastic butter or margine container and i cut it so that it with fit the out part of the cpu so that when the processor sit down on it itwould put pressure on the sides of the cpu and not only center
i thn used mk1 fix and tigtendown the heatsink and amazing the system boot

the tickness of the plastic is about .8 of a mm make sure it roughly the high of the die or bit higher cause it plastic it will compress
i also cut out one for the GPU apprantly it fixes E74 error also

OHH and just a note 0020 error usually happens whn yr GPU has 2 much pressure

i try and get some pics soon basically what i did was just cut out the plastic so it can run on the other part of the cpu and gpu so whn u tighten th heatsinkit press on the outside part also

i have 3 xbox with this error only one i managed to fix so far what and i put alto pressure on the CPU i havn't really put much pressure to the GPU casue whn ever i do i get 0020 error

but my other though is if this don;t work what might work i havn;t done this yet  u can do the same thing only instead on bolt the heatsink down to the bolt it down to the M/B and thn takea heatgun and heat the cpu from under the m/b while the heatsun in the tightn on the CPU i am nopt sure wht temperature u should put the heatgun but u shouldkeep it at a low temp so that the solder don;t melt and just enough to make both the cpu and motherboard to flex

I forget where but somebody told me to turn the xbox on, with the red ring, and leave it on untill the fans kick into high gear, then turn off. I never heard my fans kick on but mine was on for around an hour. I don't know if it's "overheating", but The xbox booted up and played gears for an hour or more last night. Good, because before I got the red ring it started freezing very quickly.

OK, that worked for less then 24 hours, and error E 71 followed by 3 red lights (0022) showed up again. I'm about to curb stomp the f***en thing and buy a new one.

currently: 1 refurbished xbox with 2 x-clamp fixes, a voided warrenty and a 0022 error. (possibly an inserted foot)

I have noticed alot of the 002 errors have been broken "filter" capacitors on the bottom touching each other.  I usualy see it caused by the x clamp.  check those
