Dry Weld
« on: December 04, 2007, 08:18:00 AM »

just bought a 3rrod 360 from ebay
HERE
In the description it says
QUOTE
..has been repaired "professional independent repairer dry weld had come apart but did not do the job properly"

Just wanna know what that repair involves.
Not bothered if it works or not as i'll easily make the £65 back from the parts (also comes with power brick and av cable!)

They're most likely referring to the BGA joints on the GPU, so it was either heat gunned or had a reflow attempted on it, plenty of info on both of those all around here as well as a ton of other places. Message the seller about it if you want to know for sure who did it and then what was done, this isn't eBay.
