Hdd E68 Error But Works On Windows Xp
« on: February 03, 2020, 09:30:00 PM »

Hi,

I have a 20GB that I bought from Ebay. Of course I got an E68 error on the HDD. Connecting the drive to my desktop, I can see the contents through Xplorer 360. However, I can't detect get the drive detected though the bios. I've tried connecting the HDD on another computer and same problem happens. Is this normal to be able to detect through windows and not in dos bootup or bios?

Is there a way to fix this? I looked though here and other sites but I don't get any definate answers to this.

I have a desktop with via 6421 controller

laptop is dell E1705. Using the HDD bay, I can connect xbox HDD to my laptop. I just boot through cd or usb.

By the way, I have a 160GB Western hard drive that I installed onto the xbox 360, only getting 120GB right not with the help of hddhackr .91. This drive is detected by the bios, dos and windows. So I don't understand why my 20GB doesn't get detected by my bios nor when I boot to dos. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
