360 Suddenly Stopped To Read Discs

I have never had any problem playing discs,backup or original,then it suddenly stopped reading all the discs,I have even tried to run a dvd movie.Then I decided to try a common audio cd,and for my surprise it runs just fine.Any idea what can be the cause?I doubt changing the pot will work,as it is not reading any dvd,and the problem started suddenly.
