Restoring An Hdd With Linux Back To Normal

I bought a XBox 360 with an internalized HDD, and it has Linux installed on it. How would I restore the HDD to its regular status? I would like to swap it out, but since it's interalized, it's a lot tougher and I would like to do this without opening up the XBox. I looked at the tutuorials for interalizing it, and I suppose I could switch the HDD's, but I want to do that as a last resort.
