Srt Subtitles Not Loading
« on: July 05, 2004, 10:28:00 AM »

ok one of the few movies i have that actually has seperate subtitles and one of my favorite movies (47 Loyal Ronin) i cant watch cuz XBMC wont play the subtitles.
i have the subtitles in the same folder as the movie. why wont they play.?
i have 2 types of subtitles for each movie, maybe thats why. one is subrip and the other is microdvd. but they are both .srt   should i rename one so that one is only srt ?

or do subtitles go into another folder. ?

and lastly i have kept up on alot of the xbmc and the old xbmp updates and i must say, as much as it hurts me, that XBMC is going down hill. i have more and more and more movies that wont play anymore or are having issues playing.
and what i usually end up doing is going back and using XBMP to play those movies. because i dont have any issues with XBMP where each time i update XBMC it just keeps getting worse and worse. not sure who is testing this awesome program but get your head out of your ass.
i now have SEVERAL of my best Kurosawa movies that wont even play anymore becuase of some stupid thing someone has done to XBMC. i have to use XBMP. and it plays fine, and typically better than it ever did with XBMC.
i love both programs, and hope MC gets better,. because honestly fellas, media center is getting worse. more buggy more problems, and less codec support.

is anyone ever gunna implement MP4 and monkey support ?  preferrably MP4  i have ALOT of classical music that i love that i converted to MP4 that i would love to play with XBMC but yes, you guessed it.,  Media Center sees it but wont play it.  <
