I am in the market for another Xbox 360, and would really like to pick up one with the Falcon motherboard, mainly for the reduced power consumption.  Does anyone have any suggested manufacturing dates, or anything else I should look for on the box  that will increase my chances of getting the new motherboard?

I just bought a new 360 from wal-mart and got a falcon. I chose wal-mart cause they are fairly high trafficed thinkin the older models would blow out by now and I was right and mine was the only 360 they had other than elites and (in my opinion) the scuggly halo edition. I bought the premium with forza2 and marvel ultimate alliance packed in all for $349. Ask to inspect box and look at the side for lot# and make sure it is 0734 or after that. For instance mine is #0737. Also look for the the team on the same label and look for Team FDOU. To my understanding that is the team to look for. My MFD is 9-13-07 . So somewhere around there is probably a good chance of getting a falcon and get the extended warranty to be safe. I hope these last longer and no more 3rls. Time will tell Good luck!
