I turned on my 360 and it worked for 10 seconds then sections 1, 3, and 4 started flashing red
I turned off then on and it worked for another 10 seconds then got red lights again. now I can't even get it to work for 10 seconds anymore so I guess it got worse. I read and tried the steps in "error codes explained", not much help there.
No mods done, and the light on power supply stays orange.
Sorry if you get this question a lot.

Thanks

Read the pinned topics before you say there is no error code. Your error code doesn't appear on the TV screen, it appears in the ring of light...just read the topics and figure out what your problem is before you ask for help when you provide basically no information at all.

I never said there was no error code or it didn't appear on my tv? I said there was an error and it was 1,3,4 flashing red lights. LOL, brandogg, you're the one that didn't read my post before replying. It seems all you did was notice i said "error codes" read the WHOLE post.

wow, some people, try to make me look stupid when it's the other way around, meh
thanks.

When you say "not much help there" it makes it seem like you didn't try anything. Be more thorough, and hey, how about posting your error code. Again, no one can help you if you don't tell us what is wrong. You're welcome.

All I'm asking is for more input and if someone thinks there's nothing more that can be done then I'm fine, I was just asking before I run out and buy another 360.

I'm trying you get you some help here. I could care less about my post count - ~700 posts in 5 or 6 years is nothing. You're checking for the error code correctly, right? Turn on the system - when th 3 red lights flash hold the sync button on the console (not the controller) and press eject - the flashing light pattern should change, that's your firts number (4 lights = 0), do it again, that's your next number, and again, and again.

That's not your error code. Read my post again you get 4 SETS of numbers, as in after you hold sync and press eject once, now 1,2,3,4 are blinking, that means 0, still holding sync and press eject again, say you now have light #1 blinking alone, that's 1, press eject again, now all 4 are blinking, that's another 0, press eject again and now 2 lights are blinking, that's a 2 - add them up and you have error code 0102, and you know what your problem is and how to get info/help on fixing it.

Edit - I posted this before you edited that post.

Stop editing all of your posts dude. You're really making me look like a bad guy here - especially after I reply to them.

Ok, here's the easiest solution, call Microsoft and send in your console for a free fix, since no mods have been done.

Sorry man.. you just don't seem to be listening.. There is a secondary error code.. you are just not following directions and finding out what it is...

Havok - I do understand I've done it before, my xbox is messed up along with the sync button I'm guessing. Didn't know I had to spell it out for ya.

Why do you think I explained what happens when I check for the code. That's part of the problem.
the 1,3,4 isn't the code I know.

and btw Havok, I knew 1,3,4 isn't the code.

Not sure if I have to say it again, you tell me if you were listening.
Close topic please? Already decided to forget this xbox. And don't know someone else with a 360/360 power supply.

If the power brick is staying orange, and you can't get an error code, and you say you've done it before, then it could be just the power brick. Take your system to Gamestop or something and ask if they'll let you plug it in.
