well this is my second xbox 360, so im assuming i have a refurb. i have had it since january of this year and in the last couple of months either the disc drive or something else that moves in the 360 is making this very loud and eratic buzzing sound. it happens often, but randomly. it happens when watching a dvd, or playing halo 3(or any other game). i think it's the disc drive since the sound only occurs when the disc drive is in use. and if it is buzzing at all when im using it, after im done using the xbox i shut it down and while it shuts down it buzzes until it is off. could there be some type of bearings that have crapped out in my disc drive or what?

as of right now it hasnt affected playing or given me any error messages, but i am growing more concerned since it is becoming more frequent and at times much louder then it once was. when im online playing people can occationally hear it through my headset and say is your 360s demons back, and i just say they are (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) .

if anyone may have an idea as wtf is going on with my shit box, and what i should do (call MS or not) please leave any info in regards to what might be going on here, and if i should begin planning the funeral, since i maybe running on borrowed time.

I had the same thing happen with mine, since it's out of warranty I'm told it's a $140 fix from MS.  $140 for a DVD drive.  Riiiight.  Mine started up the first time I put in Halo 3, so I thought it might have been that but after trying a few more discs, it's definitely the drive.  Mine started out random, and now it's prominent 100% of the time the disc is spinning.  Since I'm looking for an excuse to get an Elite bundle, I'll probably sell this one online when they come out and get a new Elite.  Might try to take it apart and see if something is obviously loose, too...
