My XBOX 360 is currently getting the 3RLOD. I think it's because I cut the AV cable apart. I looked up the error code on wikipedia and they said it was the 4RLOD that means AV connection problems. So what do you think is wrong with my XBOX 360? PS: It's been working since last march until I cut the AV cable apart.

I am thinking about just buying a new XBOx 360 and skipping the hassle. I heard that the new 360 DVD drive is Benq and that there's no hacked firmware for it right now. Is this true? Is there plans for a hacked firmware? And is the 65nm version of the 360 out yet?

Sorry if I come off noobish. Thanks in advance.

I think the HD AV cable is $35 and is showing up with 3RLOD instead of 4RLOD wikipedia should show. I am gonna test it on my friends cables.

So what about the new DVD drive?

Only the Halo 3 editions after lot number 734 though......there is no problem with your AV cable, it is the 360 that has broken because you got 3 red lights and not 4.

Is there a way to tell which lot number a 360 is from before buying one?
Meaning, is there any info on the box itself that will indicate it?

You can repair it. And if you want to buy new one, you can try MXbox 360 Halo 3 Special Edition. It is really cool. I find that a recent deal for it is only $400. http://dealstudio.com/viewtopic.php?t=31433

Let me help you.

I should've phrased it better. I am still awaiting for my friend to bring over his AV cable but I think it might be hardware failure as it's 3RLOD not 4RLOD.

So does anyone know when the fall update is?(exact date)

No one knows when the update is. Get your error code. 3 lights isn't a code - read the pinned topics. You're not helping anybody by being a smart ass and reposting the same thing you said in the beginning. Have you tried a different cable? Try powering the system without the A/Vcable plugged in - if it blinks 4 lights with the cable unplugged, and never switched to 3 lights, then that's your problem - the cable. If it blinks 4 and then switched to 3 (this only takes a few seconds to happen), then it's your system.
