Getting my fixed/refurb unit back next week.  Wondering if I should order and install the x-clamp fix now in anticipation that the rrod will happen again...

This is assuming that ms hasn't swapped out the clamp for a 'better' one.  I heard that they still have no idea excatly what is causing all the problems, and just slap on a secondary heatsink...

Instead of having my 12" fan blowing towards the back, I think I will postion my 360 facing the fan.  That way the air will flow from front to back...


p.s.  did a search for x-clamp and didn't find this particular topic in 3 of the 6 pages of results, so assumed that it was ok to post.
