Anyone Disassemble The Messenger Kit

I may have asked this in the wrong forum yesterday, but does anyone know how this works?

I wonder if it has its own wireless transmitter or if it uses the mini-jack. If it's the latter, I'm amazed that it can pass-through audio and transmit data using only MICROPHONE +/- and SPEAKER +/- connections.

I'm still up in the air if I want to get one or not.
