The guys over at gearlive.com posted some pictures of their Xbox 360 Messenger 'ChatPad' Kit(buy USA(IMG:http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=finalfantasyx-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B000UN3UDQ)/buy EU(IMG:http://www.assoc-amazon.co.uk/e/ir?t=xboxscene-21&l=as2&o=2&a=B000TT9VRK)) that will be released in N-America on September 4th and in Europe on September 7th:
Quote

The Kit includes the much anticipated Xbox 360 Chatpad - a QWERTY keyboard accessory that snaps onto an Xbox 360 controller - along with a newly redesigned Xbox 360 headset. The new headset features a simple audio connector, with the mute and volume switch located on the wire itself - much more user friendly, and it looks better too.

How exciting.

I want one.

They need to come in black though.

..And do those keypads light up? Because if so, then that's pretty ballin'!

I wonder what faults it will have (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)  Sorry, just seemed appropriate given Microsofts current track record.

I dont see much use for this thing when I can just talk to someone on live.  Maybe good for redeeming codes for XBL subs and live points and such, but thats about.

I wonder if they have plastic keyboard protectors for them. You know, for those crazy video chats...erm, heh. I mean for when I spill my Halo 3 cherry citrus go-juice on it. Maybe the fall update will have some sort of web features. Probably not a full-blown browser, but maybe rss or something cool. I mean, just chatting on MSN is kinda pointless for a full blown hardware add-on. Or maybe it is so when you get RRoD or some other Christmas lights you can hit  Ctrl Alt Del... (=   I am so getting kicked from Live now. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/jester.gif)  Either way, I am looking forward to getting my moist little hands on one. cheers!

How about letting me sign in to the messenger feature at all?  I still can't get in because I am considered a 'child' at 19 years old...

I would really like a chatpad, but it would be more like a paperweight for me.
