Xbox 360 Hdd Question

can you purchase your own hdd and put it in the 360 by using a xbox hdd creator disk like you could with the original xbox.  I've looked all over the place on this forum for a related topic and the only things I found were related to an external hdd.  the reason I ask is because around my area they are still selling a 360 core system for $300 and the pro system with the 20GB HDD for $400 and the elite for almost $600.  Thats an outrageous price to pay for a 20GB hdd, theres no way it costs them $100 to supply a 20GB hdd.

Yes and no, it's been in the news and is in the forums in more than a few places on how it's done and what ya need to do it, have a read HERE.

You can get a Core system and look on eBay or in the 360 B/S/T for a HDD as well, you'll get it for less than $100.
