Adding "on/off" Switch To Xeno Connectivity Kit
« on: July 29, 2007, 09:07:00 PM »

I have a Xeno Connectivity Kit but not the Xecuter Connectivity Kit V2 which comes equipped with a switch already. So to make matters "cheaper" I was thinking of adding a button to the Xeno kit I have instead of going out to buy the Xecuter one. I was wondering if any one can give me some tips for a wiring diagram or some tips in that area. Heres some pics of the button I wanna use on it so also any tips on how I can wire it correctly to the dvd xeno kit.

Yer fine where yer at, not really DVD-ROM Technical question anyway. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

If that's a latching DPDT switch, you need to ohm it out and make sure because to do this you need a DPDT or DPST switch, then you'd wire up the center leads to your 12v and 5v source. Then one of the outside set of leads will be "on" when the switch is latched and those you'd run to the Xeno 12v and 5v.
