E68 Error Message
« on: July 15, 2007, 09:03:00 AM »

I have been trying to fix my harddrive (with the same error), but so far no luck. the connector is supposed to be loose on the bottom of the case to allow you to slide it into the top of the case. It seems like its a problem with the EEPROM on the drive, as no matter what I do to the drive (file-wise) does not seem to make a difference. A windows tool that supports FATX would be crazy useful, but as far as I know, nothing like that exists.

Turn your Intercooler off when you start your box. You'll never have the E68 Message again! If you don't have an intercooler or anything else draining power at start up then i'm not sure what it is. But that got rid of my E68.

That was so weird, I powered on the console without the video cables, got the flashing lights, waited a couple seconds and then plugged them in again, and now the harddrive is detected. Formatting and retrying without doing that stuff.
