haha man i hope you haven't had any formal training in investments, because if you have, you should ask for your tuition back.

your "strategy" is buy low, sell high?  why didn't someone think of that sooner? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

for someone who doesn't have a high level of income, yeah, obviously this isn't something they'd consider.  hell, there's a lot of people who can't afford a television, let alone a 360.  On the other hand, there're people who have money to burn, and if this is the way they choose to burn it, then so be it.

I'd never buy this, because in all honesty i don't see the point.  That doesn't mean there's no one who does.

Oh, and I was just wondering if you own a computer, or if you've typed these posts from a school lab or library or something... because if you bought one, that was a terrible investment, i hear they depreciate sometimes...  Doesn't really fit with your "buy low, sell high" strategy, does it?

Wow, this thread is becoming really angry/political.

In my personal opinion, its a waste of money, and the number 1 reason for that being that only 1 game supports this setup fully.

It'd be good to have setup in a games/tv store just to show off, but owning this thing personally is a bit much.

I dont even think the game is that good. Im a pretty good driver, but Forza is just so fricken difficult, and the fact that you cant steer while braking on some cars is just stupid. Yes i know its realistic, but u can steer while braking. Ive only played the demo. Graphics and detail were nice, but gameplay was just...too real but at the same time, not real and just crap.

Anyway, no need to flame me, just my personal opinion.

And to all the people going on about how this is a waste of money, a person who can buy something like this throws out there knives when they get dull and buys new ones.

AKA filthy stinking rich

Huge waste of money!!!

People who think this is not a waste of money are the real immatures.
Ferraris' not a waste of money, people who can afford a Ferrari are making a investiment.
Those are two different things.

Buy a nice powerfull PC, 4 or more LCD displays, etc... much cheaper and you still can play MS Flight Simulator. ;D

Dummy! Ferraris and that gaming station are the same thing when you talk about investing.

You buy a ferrari because its nice and you like it. But do you need one? No.
When you sell it back it loses part of its orginal cost.

When you buy a gaming station like that. You buy it cause you like it and you want it. But do you need one? Again No.
And when you sell it is the same thing, youll get less than what you paid for.

So no they arent really different from eachother, other than the diffrence in price and functions.

And just cause somone says its not a waste of money doesnt meant they are immature lol.
It just means they have loads of money!!!
And dont care about wasting it on a couple things.

looks like you don`t know nothing about cars, different from affordable cars a Ferrari do not lost the original value, keep your Ferrari for about 30, 40 or more years (if you do have one) and you can will make more money then when you bought. Think like putting your money on stock.

Maybe if you buy this game station for Forza 2 you can sell for half the price in one year, but don`t wait too long. ;D

@ STiCKyiKyBuDz, Keep this discussion on topic.  This is not a Tom Vu seminar.  Turn the caps lock off and drop the lecture.

Some posts have been removed that were completely off-topic, no more flaming.

Actually, I don't think this is directed to the average consummer, not even to rich gamers. It seems geared towards industry shows and parties interested in showing off the technology involved. I could see Microsoft shipping this ready made setups to their conventions and whatnot.

i want one too!
do you remember "steel battalion"?
kinda the same thing, just a little more expensive.  wink.gif
that thing really lets you dive in the experience of driving your car in forza.
just like steel battalion did with its huge controller.

When I was playing PGR3 I thought wouldn't it look cool if you could get a screen on both sides for the side views, but I always wondered how the 360 will do this since its only got one video output.

The solution seems very expensive and when I first saw this I didn't think to my self what a waste of money it is, but I just thought if I were rich I would buy this, don't understand why some people are going mental over this.
