Ok, I didn't read through the multiple pages to see if anyone else said this so sorry if it has already been adressed...
So, this heat pipe. The heat pipe is supposed to transfer heat through this pipe, to the additional (and very small) 2nd heatsink. Sure it sounds like a plan, BUT what about when the xbox is standing vertical?
When vertical, the heat pipe is bent downwards from the main gpu heat sink... Ok, last time I checked heat rises and cool air sinks... Hmmm, how the fuck would this reverse? The heat cannot (well, probably not) travel down through the heat pipe when the xbox is vertical, thus the 2nd gpu heatsink seems somewhat uneffective when the xbox is vertical.
This is mearly my theory based off of the simple rule of the direction that air moves at a certain temperature. I only wish someone could test (the xbox standing vertically vs. horizontally) and see if temps fluctuate between positions... Again, merely just a theory but I've seen and used heat pipes (in my computer) before and my temperatures were slightly different the way the heatpipes faced (horizontally or vertically).
