Allright i registered to say thanks to Kidderboots for the penny fix, or in my case the 5 eurocents fix (IMG:

The way i did it is pretty much the same as kidderboots did it but with a different kind of tape and adhesive: just your basic stuff you can get from the most basic shops in Holland, even the supermarkets.
Coins:4 stacks of two 5 eurocent coins.Adhesive:Tesa powerstrips... the ones u use to stick posters n stuff to your walls.
I cut them up to fit the RAM chips, one powerstrip was enough for the 4 chips.
The Tesa powerstrips are quite common in dutch stores anyway and my guess is around europe as well...
My xbox is a bit older so i didnt have the thermal pads on the RAM Chips, if you do have those you can obviously use them as the others have described.
Tape: Just your
plain ducttape, i still had the cheapest homebrand at home...
Rip of a bit of tape, stick the coins in the middle, fold the tape over the two coins, i only did this once and cut off the remaining bits of unused tape.
Next just push the stacks onto the powerstrips that are already in place on the RAM chips.
When i reassembled the xbox i tightened all the silver screws really tight, same for the black screws.
This reduced my 3rlod to a normal boot followed by the overheating/turbo fan problem (2 blinking red lights).
Supposedly this is caused by to much pressure on the mainboard/heatsensor, so loosening some of the black screws is the way to go.
In my case the solution was removing 3 of the black screws on the leftside X-clamp (CPU) on the bottom of the xbox (assuming you flip the xbox over sideways). This was a bit of a trial and error thing as i started removing the top left black screw and tried to boot. I still had the overheating problem so i removed the bottom left screw. Then it booted normally 50% of the time... almost there... so i removed the bottom right screw as well. Now my xbox is working like a charm on normal sound levels!
Keep in mind you might have to loosen different screws, but from what i have read in this thread most people had to loosen some of the black screws on the CPU x-clamp to get it to work again.
Remember: no need for Toweltricks or other overheating tricks... just play with the CPU x-clamp screws and dont give up! once you have the overheating/turbofan error you are nearly there!I already streamed a movie to my xbox and played a game, so my uptime isnt that awesome yet, but to have it working again after almost throwing it away and buying a new one is amazing!
Thanks Kidderboots and all the others for giving feedback and making it eazier for people like me!
