2 fans running on only 5 volts and .5 amps from USB= Useless.  Also, with the fans using power, you couldn't use any device that runs off the USB bus power, like a keyboard, flash stick, etc.  If you have cooling problems just get some high quality 60mm fans from Newegg that move more air and make less noise, don't give these idiots your money.

So are you saying by reversing the fans, your 360's CPU & GPU run cooler? huh.gif

How would any other 60mm fan make less noise and move more air considering the 360's temp sensors control BOTH of those aspects.  The only thing I can see is getting some new fans with better long life bearings if you play your 360 a lot as to prevent premature wear.

This is a great reading link I found while searching 360 hardware specs on google.
Talks about the cooling of the unit.

It means I modified my Xbox 360 so I can control the fanspeeds from the outside but with the casing still in the original state.

has anyone here read about the fan separation trick?? That tutorial explains how a lower temp in the back means it's working better.

I did some searches online and I can't find anything about this fan separation trick.  Do you have a link to where you read about this?  You have my very curious.  Thanks!
