i flashed my xbox sam ms28 3 weeks ago with 5.3ver. 2 days ago my games started to freeze and yesterday i got 3RLOD error code 0110. Do u think modding to a new firmware caused this problem? What are my options now?
Thank you in advance for ur help.

Grab a couple screws, washers and patience and replace the x-clamps. Tutorials elsewhere on the forum.

Doing the Xclamp replacement must fix it.

At first I thought the firmware created the problem as well, as all the people I knew that had the 3RLOD had a modified firmware too, but seeing how the x-clamp mod fixes this problem I think its now obvious that the real cause is bad connections on the mobo which get worse with heat and the pressure from the x-clamp.

You'll have to use some other brand of thermal paste like Coolermaster's, Antec's or Zalman's etc.

Just make sure you ask for high perfomance one (for overclocking) and the typical one.

Try a local computershop for some high-quality thermal paste.
