PlayStation 2...Atari 2600...on a most comfortable controllers list? What the shit is this?

What kind of mutant with deformed hands made this list anyway?

What a sad thread this is. It discusses a matter of taste and only gives fanboys a stiffy. Real gamers just pick up a pad and play and don't whine on which pad/console is better. If a game is good you'll immerge in the game itself.

I played video games for over 20 years now (yes, as it seems I'm f*cking old), and I had TONS of different sticks, pads, whatevers in my hands.

Firstly, I don't understand the obsession with Playstation controllers. They are ok, but I think most people don't even KNOW anything else, so they rate it high...

Next thing: I don't know what the big difference between the Xbox1 controller and the XBox360 controller is. I used the XBox1 controller for years (the BIG one, which is more precise in my hands), now I take the XBox360 wireless and it's no difference. The only thing to accustom to if you flip between Xbox1 and XBox360 often is the extra shoulder buttons (i tended to forget about them at the start smile.gif ). The small XBox1 controllers are very uncomfortable to people with big hands, but strangely enough the Xbox360 controller is just fine....

For ANYONE saying the SNES pad doesn't belong on the list, REMOVE all Sony's pads and the Xbox pads, because that is where they derived their layout from. They're upgraded clones, nothing more!

Oh and I agree with most on the N64, it was a great controller for games it was suited to, but in general........it sucked. Gamecube controller should replace it, the most ergonomic controller EVER.

And the 2600 controller on the list at all? What was this reviewer smoking?

That and those of you clamoring for the Dreamcast controller? I own a Dreamcast, and have 5 controllers for it. It's one of THE worst controller designs EVER! Tiny stiff D-Pad, Start button in a location you have to stretch your thumb to reach (It's not THAT bad, but it's bad enough) and who was the crackhead that had the oh-so brilliant idea to put the cable at the BOTTOM!? Don't tell me it wasn't possible at the top because of the VMU ports, horse poopies!

I agree, the dreamcast pad is tripe but in segas defence, they did put a small notch on the back so you can have the wire running out the top. I'm sure you've noticed it before.

The N64 controller is my favourite when you're playing the right game, ie... Mario64, Goldeneye64.

I would have to agree 360 controller should stay #1 PS2/3 controller is nice but doesn't compare to the xbox/360 controller IMO.

I am not too happy about this either, makes me press the wrong on screen option because I press down but the console does not register it but I think it does....

i have absolutely zero complaints with the 360's controller, i love it. Yea the dreamcast did have a memory card with mini games though. How awesome would that be to have a little 2D Project Gotham when you cant be by your 360. but the dashboard button makes up. lol

I'm loving the complete disrespect to Sega controllers. Really, that list is horrible.
