Any Point In Buying A New 360?

to ahtze: the reasons why the eraser mod is a horrible idea is these reasons.. first off rubber erasers are not very heat conductive wich causes your ram to get hot and the fans run harder.. second putting pressure on the ram will damage them over time.. doing the x-clamp removal mod puts pressure where it is supposed to be and the way that the motherboard was originally designed to.. however i have disagreeances with lawdawgs method for one reason and a reason some disagree with me on but a method i have had 99% success on hundreds of 360's.. doing the heatgun followed by the x-clamp removal.. and if you think that the rubber mod shouldnt be classified with such things as the towel trick and the oven trick feel free to do it and get back to me in a year.. ive had a hundred plus last over a year with my method without the fans running any faster or harder. will your rubber mod??

You've been doing x-clamp mods for over a year? I didn't think anyone did them till recently. You must be a rich man by now, I hope the taxman knows of your earnings jester.gif And where the hell do you advertise to get that much business?

P.S. The heatgun fix followed by a X-clamp replacement is my method too, though i've only done two.
P.P.S. How exactly do you know they're all still working? do you call your hundreds of customers regularly to find out? They may have just died and not bothered telling you.

not a good idea at all. this will reflex the board before you do the x-clamp mod meaning that you may not actually fix the problem regardless of the x-clamp mod.

you should be able to fix 3rlod with the x-clamp replacements and nothing more.
