Any Point In Buying A New 360?
« on: May 15, 2007, 02:05:00 PM »

I've been trying to fix my 360 for ages, and it's just not working out. The only method I haven't tried is the x-clamp replacement, because I can't find the proper parts at any hardware stores around me.

I'm considering going out and buying a new 360, but I am worried that one day, it will shit out on me just like my current one has. Are they ever going to solve this issue with consoles dying?

Have you tried the "rubber pads" replacement method? What u need is 1-2 eraser only. A lot of people say it is no good(although they never try) but I would suggest it because mine is working for 3+ days. People keep saying it will over heat the memories, lol.

the heatgun/oven/towel/eraser and this new "perspex" one, are all temporary at best and some may damage your console beyond repair.

150+ people on this site alone (and that's only the people who took the time to tell us) have had 100% success by doing an x-clamp replacement.

heatgun/oven/towel/  <-- those method are ridiculous. Especially Towel and oven.

How about the eraser mod? I don't see people say it is terrible(those who say it is terrible doesn't even use it, how can they say it is terrible, So many people succeed on the eraser mod, if fail, it can be easily fix by exchanging a new eraser.

because essentially it replicates the x-clamp replacement, but only to a small degree, the problem is only going to get worse until you HAVE to replace the x-clamps.

Well, I don't really like to argue. I just don't like you to put the eraser mod into the oven/tower category....

I do like the x-clamp by RBJtechs's method but it is too much work. The eraser mod is so much easier.

Plus gasclown's 360 still going strong after 6 weeks with the eraser mod.

I guess only time will tell.

Not everyone is PRO, plus I seens good result on eraser, i will sure go to the x-clamp method "If" it is the "Only" method (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Time will prove the eraser and the x-clamp method.
