Bit Of A Weird One...
« on: May 12, 2007, 05:19:00 PM »

right guys, i have a hitachi 47. Flashed it with C4EVA_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_4_Stealth firmware. Anyway, it worked fine after flashing but, when i put the case back together got 3 red lights, error code 0102. So i used the hot air gun method to solve it. After sorting out the 3 red lights issue, i noticed the drive was acting weird as it would open when the 360 was turned on, so i inserted an original game and although it seems to be making sounds of it being read by the drive its not executing the game. So, i got a dump of the drive firmware using toolbox and noticed that the drive key had changed, weird   (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) , so i flashed it with my original.bin file and tested the drive and it played originals fine. So, i flashed it again using flash24s.bat and everything went normal while flashing, except the drive keeps ejecting on powering up the 360 and doesn't recognise any media. So what do u guys think the solution is? thanks in advance.

when you dump your reflashed firmware, does it show your drive key?

Have you had any other modified firmwares installed prior to Commodore4eva's Xtreme v2.4?

Thanks for the quick replies. When i open was.bin with toolbox it has the drive key in there and its correct but still can't understand why it doesn't work. Also, i had installed Maximus-Garyopa Hitachi-LG Xtreme v2.3 Stealth 8in1 prior to this. Cheers

Did you run Restore.bat before flashing it with the new version?

Try the Flash17s.bat and see what results ya get.

Hi mate, i've ran restore.bat and it recovers the drive to original firmware and i can play originals. The issue is when i try to flash it with flash24s.bat it doesn't play anything. I will try flash17s.bat tomorrow. Cheers

Right, have tried flashing drive with flash17s.bat but still having same results. Also, cannot seem to restore the drive now,  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) . What is the best way to put my original firmware on my drive. I have the original.bin file as i think this will solve my problems. What do u guys think?

P.S sorry if i started the thread in the wrong forum.
