What movies play and dont ( divx xvid dvd vcd what?) and what movies play?

You mentioned samba is that where all your movies that play and dont play reside?

What version of XBMC 1.0.0 are you using (its listed in settings> system info near bottum)?

Did you delete all old files and delete the xbmc saves. then upload xbmc 1.0.0?

xvid, svcd, vcd, it seems like all of them do it. the more and more i restart xbmc it seems the less and less movies that play. yes all of my movies are on sabma, i'm using the xbmc v1.0-wam release. i didnt delete all of my old files(i overwrite them) but i did delete all xbmc saves.  <

here are my DVDs "original discs" that do no work:

I delete everything including the e:\tdata\ and e:\udata...and started froms scrtach. Now XBMC works!

However, I tried few of my DVD original movies discs and found out that with auto-launch on or off XBMC freezes when I insert or try to play the following DVDs:
1) Lion King II
2) Arabian Nights.

Both movies perfectly play under DVD-X2.

And still XBMC  does not support full DVD menus browsing like DVD-X2? when can we expect XBMC DVD player to be as good as DVD-X2?

Have you tried using Relax or CCX gui server (i use) to see if you have the same issue. Sounds like its network related problem if the ftp wont work after the issue. Are you using static or dhcp a router or a hub?  <
