Xbox 360 Cooling Is The Solution?

Hello.  I am planning on doing most of the cooling mods on a test 360 (off ebay).  I was wondering if doing these would eliminate the 3 red light problem?  Is it still necessary for me to do the xclamp mod?  Thanks for the help.  BTW my goal is to have a perfectly working xbox 360 for halo 3...

If it's never had the problem before, it could help prevent it, but the x-clamp replacement completely eliminates the problem, so do both.
