Wonky Wireless Controllers
« on: April 28, 2007, 04:54:00 PM »

Hello. I searched for the same topic in the forums, but couldn't get a conclusive answer, so I decided to post it here again.

A few days ago, my previously okay wireless controller of 2 months started spazzing out. It would randomly disconnect and reconnect. This even happens on a set of new batteries.

I figured out that maybe it conked out, so I used the other unopened one that came with my Premium.
It started showing the same symptoms too. I tried resynching them, but the problem still remains.
This seems to happen more frequently when I use rechargable batteries. Perhaps my batteries could be the cause? Or is something wrong within my 360?
And just to repeat, yes I have tried resynching them by pressing the button in front of my 360. The 1st controller seems to be more problematic, so I assume that one is a gone case. Not sure about the second one though.

Would appreciate a response, thanks!

Do you have the Chrome faceplate on the 360?

Have you bought any new cordless phones or some other wireless electronics?

The RF board itself could be failing, since it's giving the same issues on both controllers. Make sure ya try brand new batteries as well.

If ya have a friends 360 to try out your controllers on that's a good way to tell where the problem is as well, trade controllers for a few days and see how they act.

No, I'm using the original unchanged faceplate, and I haven't bought any new wireless stuff.
I guess I'll return it to the store, since I'm the only guy among my friend who owns a 360. Sigh.
