NEED HELP PLEASE!

Fixed my console about the beginning of last week. Worked fine other than a couple of overheating shutoffs which I tweaked into submission. Played a few multi hour sessions of COD4 over the next few days and then one of the next times I powered on the unit I got the original 3 lights back. I then gave the screws a small turn to tighten and it was enough to get it back on. This persisted for the next few days. Either had to tighten or loosen to get it to work nearly every time I wanted to play, no big deal but kinda annoying... just a small turn of the driver. Then this last weekend just turning the screws didn't seem to work anymore. What to do, what to do??? So I removed the fan shroud and placed the fans over the one heatsink and atop the diskdrive so the processor under the disc drive could overheat. Thought maybe baking it again would help and it did. After roughly 10 minutes of baking and 30 minutes of cooling down it powered on with no problems after plugging it back in. That was Saturday night. Played it last night no problems. Turned it on this morning and BOOM... 3 lights...WTF??

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Question: Is there a serial number on mainboards?

Nevermind, there is a serial number on mobos.

Question: Why can I only edit my post sometimes and not all the time?

Used: Improved X-clamp Replacement (written by Wilhelm_I)

Fixed the 3RLOD. No issues at all now, no freezing, works fine although it's only been running for an hour.

I had error code 0020. I had to use only nylon washer and no metal one on 2 screws of the GPU radiator because they were slightly oversized.

Edit:

PS. I had to bake it for 5 mins [my room is cold as fuck] and then I had a green lights instead of red ones;)

Finally managed too get the right screws and nylon washers and fixed my launch 360, I'm freakin' grateful for the people that first discovered this fix and then the people who wrote guides.

Thank you alot (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I sent this console into ms and they wouldn't fix it because I wasn't the original owner. It also got damaged on return shipping, so I had to replace the case and rf board. I'm out $35 but.......

All in all, I'm just happy it's working.

you guys think this would fix my box?  here's my story..

error code 0020

used the youtube "penny" fix with 4 stacks of 3 pennies.. at first it was worse... fans would just start to spin, then it would quit and error out

played around with it a little.. loosened the screws on the x clamps and actually removed one screw.  works fine now.   if i put that screw back in the x clamp it stops working again

ok so for the past 2 days i spent almost 15 hours reading and watching videos on how to fix my xbox. mine has 1 red light bottom right with error code e74  and 1022. so i replaced the av cable and it didnt work. so after 2 days i did the x clamp replacement. did that put it in the bottom metal case plugged the dvd drive in and plug it up in the back loaded to 1 red light not even 20 seconds later i got the 2 red lights. let it bake for 2 minutes. let it cool for 20. tried again got the 1 red light. i did it again but let it bake for longer but then my power brick went orange.

so im at all of your mercy. help me fix my xbox  please??
