Well my HD-DVD Drive broke. Im trying to figuar out how to fix it. What its doing is the laser wont move back and forth. I have talked to to guys this has happend to. Any info would be nice.

Well i opened it up and it looks like the sprial gear is messed up. Tried a few differant things and nothing worked. So looks like it time for a new one. If any one has any other ideas let me know.

Why on earth did you open it? I sincerely hope you had already opened it prior to it breaking, otherwise that's just plain stupidity.
