Has Anyone Ever Fixed An 0020 Error?
« on: March 01, 2007, 01:38:00 PM »

Hey,

I've been offered a faulty xbox360 and as its pretty cheap im tempted to have a go at fixing it myself. I have a decent technical ability having built PCs and modded my original xbox but I was wondering if anyone has actually fixed a 360 with the 0020 error code?

Thanks.

Thanks for the replies. So the heat gun method really works? I'd heard mixed reports about it but if you've fixed 20+ 360s with 0020s then it must be doing something right. Might have to give it a go - did you guys just use the standard heat gun method or did you do anything different?

ya all 25 untill you got a new mobo...lol

i had a 0020 awhile back and i couldent get the heatgun to work, what parts did you go for?

you can fix almost any error code with the heatgun fix, but the longest i have ever gotten one to stay is a week (about 6-10hrs of gameplay)

im working on a 1023 right now (ana problem...i think) and im hopeing that i will stay fixed

Well, I went ahead and bought it cause it was a good price. Didn't come with anything though, just the premium console. Do I need to get hold of one of those PSUs? Unfortunately they don't come cheap. I was hoping I'd only need to buy a power cable.
